Gone are the days when people would ask me how long he's been gone and I had to reply with a number less than 6 and having them say "oh, he hasn't been gone that long." Come on people! You try going that long without your other half and relying only on letters for communication. It's quite the accomplishment!
But now I can say 7 months...that's getting pretty close to a year...that's progress! It's 30% of his mission!
He's doing awesome, albeit being a little bit discouraged this transfer because they keep losing investigators thanks to a religion that I won't name. He's doing amazing in that area though. Before he got there they had contemplated closing that area since there hadn't been any baptisms in a while, and the week after he gets there they have 2. He's also losing his english, which is pretty funny...luckily it's not too bad yet! He just has to think a little bit harder to remember english words.
He just keeps getting more good lookin.

ReplyDeleteAhh so when I first saw this post on my dashboard I thought it said you only had seven months left and i was going to be excited for you but it seems like all the girls on the mg page are posting how they only have a few months left...then i read the post and you are at the seventh month and i was like "hey finally a same time buddie!!!!" I hit the 8th month mark in a few days so I am only a few weeks ahead of you but we are close! Congrats to your Elder for his baptisms (I LOVE baptism stories!) and yes 6 months away from your other half is an EXTREMELY long time and people are crazy for thinking otherwise! But hey you're at 7 months now so that means you're creeping towards the ONE YEAR!!!
Oh my lanyards, I WISH I had 7 months left!! Life would be gloriously awesome! And yes...they do just keep getting better and better looking as time goes on!
