Me and Sara met April 2010 when we were assigned to be roommates. It was friendship at first meeting.
We may come off as total opposites...she's a geology major and I'm a special ed major. She's crazy adventurous, and I'm the one saying "This won't kill me, riiight?".
She knows how to curl eyelashes with a spoon, I didn't even KNOW that was possible.
She knows how to fix things, I call someone and say "how the heck does this thing (meaning a Tool) work??"
She's a pro at keeping her cool while playing a prank on our FHE brothers. I just tried not to burst out in loud laughter.
We pretty much complete each other.
Needless to say, when I had to go to Rexburg this weekend for my little brothers ballroom comp.
I HAD to hang out with Miss Sara, ASAP.
Thursday night we went out to eat with my fam, and a couple other dance people. I can't believe I forgot just how much fun me and Sara have together.
So luckily, she didn't have class until after 12 pm Friday, and my little brother didn't start dancing until 2 pm.
She took me to show me campus, since last year while I was there, there was a buttload of construction going on. Seriously, it was kind of freaky how much campus had changed in less than a year.
After the campus adventure, we just HAD to go see Andrew's old apartment. As we were walking towards it, a guy was walking towards us, and all of a sudden he stops and unlocks the apartment door. At the same time me and Sara looked at the door we were in front of. We were at 314. Andrew lived in 313.
Thank HEAVENS we weren't a minute earlier. If we had been, the guy would have shown up right as we were taking the picture. Talk about awkward.
So here's a picture of me, trying not to laugh, and slightly terrified of the door opening.
Soon after that adventure we had to depart. Me to the competition, and her to class.
But later that night after the competition was over with for the night. (which was like 10:45 pm)
We went to find some food, and I guess we both kind of forgot that like everything closes in Rexburg by 11 pm. LAME!
For some reason I was worried that the lights on the temple shut off at 11 too. And I really needed another picture in front of a temple for month number 6. So we went and froze our behinds off taking pictures at the temple. Like literally froze. There's a reason the 'burg has a nickname of the Iceburg.
So here is how that picture turned out.
The next day...after my little brother was competed. My Mother and Grandmother decided to rush us out of Idaho before I could say goodbye Miss Sara... So since I had woken up as a little miss grumpy butt (there is a good reason as to why I was grumpy! It's called having to endure a symphony of snoring!) that morning, and not getting to say goodbye to Sara made life THAT much worse. My mother decided to make it up to me by taking me to my BELOVED Pickett's Bambino. I had to live with hard to endure cravings for a bambino for the last 6 months. and FINALLY. My cravings were satisfied, for a few hours.
Here's just how excited I was to have a bambino in my hand!
And here is a picture of me, Sara, Andreanne, Susan, and our FHE brother Jeff. This was when we were all cleaning like mad women and also packing like mad women (all at the same time, might I add!). Since were cleaning and packing, we all look like crap. So don't judge us!
Susan, Sara, Me, Andreanne and Jeff in the back.
Next blog post? The adventure I had driving up the the Burg.
